Terms of condition
With the terms and conditions listed below, we would like to shorten the communication path between us and you and hope to comply with this intention by presenting our way of working.
Submission of the data
At the beginning of every job, a time frame is set that takes into account the workload of all internally ongoing projects. For smooth processing, we need all the necessary data no later than 10 days before the agreed deadline. You can assume the following processing times:
1 picture in about 5 working days
2–3 pictures in about 10 working days
4–6 images in around 15 working days
7+ pictures in consultation
If you entrust us with the creation of a 3D model, we need about a week, depending on the size and level of detail of the project. The basis for this are:
– Site plan with elevation data of the area (eaves, ridge)
– Floor plans, sections, views
– Detailed drawings of concise components
In the event that you provide us with a 3D model, this requires experience after further detailing (railing, joint pattern, roof details, etc.). The expenses and the additional costs for this will be discussed with you in advance.
We accept 3D data as follows:
– File format in pln, obj, fbx, max, skp, 3dm or 3ds
– Geometries with a reduced number of polygons
– Output in meters
– Material assignments of the components
Work phases
The phases of our work are shown below. The picture that stands here at the end of each phase is a completed service and can only be revised in the process with increased effort.
Phase one - determining the camera, exposure
After we have edited the 3D model in a simplified manner, you will receive preliminary prints for the image composition from us. The camera location and exposure are selected by us with great sensitivity for the subject of your work. The model is materialized in white. The geometries and the camera settings are binding.
Phase two - remodeling, texturing, materializing
After your consent to continue, all objects will be given textures and physical material properties. Detailed geometry is added to the scene. The lighting mood / direction is determined in a binding manner.
Phase three - staffage and post-processing
Materials are further differentiated. Furniture, vegetation, means of transport, people and artificial light are added. We calibrate the image settings such as colors, saturation, tonal values, contrasts, exposure, etc. and thus tune the atmosphere. The staffage and mood and atmosphere are bindingly determined.
Phase four - clarification
At your request, minor changes and adjustments are made and the image is finally rendered.
With your consent, we will render the image in an agreed high resolution. As a rule, this is 5k. Higher resolutions are more difficult to process in terms of IT technology and require more effort. Please understand that we cannot publish our PSD files.
Submission
In the event that the submission date should change, we ask you to let us know as soon as possible. Depending on the schedule and personnel planning, additional costs can be avoided in this way.
Publication and rights of use
If you are satisfied with our work and would like to publish it, we ask you to include the name Grauwald Studio among those involved in the project, be it on the Internet or in print.
We would like to remind you of the copyright and ask you to change the image content only with prior agreement. With the creation of the visualizations in accordance with the agreement, we acquire the copyrights and ancillary copyrights to them, which we also retain. With your acceptance of the images as in accordance with the contract, we transfer a simple right of use to you, which extends to the finished visualizations, but not to drafts and intermediate results.
This simple right of use is limited in terms of time, space and content to the visualization purpose specified in the order and includes in particular the right to reproduce, distribute, send and make publicly accessible the visualizations in connection with this visualization purpose.
Closing word
Our main concern is to find an expression for your project with which you can identify. So provide us with everything that helps to make your idea imaginable for us. If you can provide us with high-resolution photos of the location or certain materials, that speeds up the process considerably.
As architects, we know very well that a project is not designed to the end. However, we ask you to contact us only when major changes are no longer to be expected. Unfortunately, for economic reasons, we are not responsible for accompanying the design process with our images, unless we are specifically instructed to do so.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
We thank you for your interest and look forward to working with you,
Grauwald Studio
